Campground Rules & Policies
River Meadow Campground welcomes you to our campground where we strive to make your stay a memorable one.
Please relax and enjoy the canoeing, kayaking, fishing,  and sightseeing in the Connecticut River Valley area.


Campsites – Are designed to accommodate one camping unit at a time. A campsite may have a maximum of 4 people staying overnight on their site. All campers’ vehicles must be parked on their designated sites. (No more than two vehicles, other’s go in overflow parking area.) Boat trailers must be parked in overflow parking area.

Guests – Campers may have guests; however they must register at the office and are subject to an applicable Day Guest Fee. Campers are responsible for the behavior of their guests. Day guests who have paid the fee are entitled to stay until quiet time takes effect. Guests are not permitted to bring pets into the park. It is the responsibility of the camper to come into the office to register any and all guests.

Check In - Time is anytime after 1:00PM, Check out is no later than 11:00AM

Quiet Time – Quiet time is from 10:00PM to 7:00AM. Please show courtesy to your neighbors and respect their privacy. Children will be asked to leave playground area at dusk and it will be locked. They will be asked to leave the game room a little before 10PM so as to get back to their own sites by 10:00PM. You may enjoy your campfire after 10:00PM quietly, so long as not disturbing anyone else.

Speed Limit/Vehicle Use – Quiet time is from 10:00PM to 7:00AM. Please show courtesy to your neighbors and respect their For everyone’s safety, the speed limit in the park is 10 MPH. Please pay attention to directional signage and abide one-way roads.

Campfires – Live trees are not to be cut for firewood or any other reason. Campfire Rings are not to be moved around the site. Fire height is 2 feet maximum. Campers are not to use campfires to burn trash. Campfires must be completely extinguished before retiring for the evening or departing the park. We sell fire wood and will deliver to your site.

Pets – There is a limit to two pets per campsite. Your guests are not permitted to bring pets into the park. All pets must be kept on a leash and under control of the pet owner at all times. Please dispose of all pet droppings immediately. Please do not tie up pets at site and leave them unattended. Absolutely NO dog pens are permitted on campsites. Pets are not permitted in any public buildings or pool area. Owners are responsible for the actions of their pets. The management reserves the right to refuse dangerous breeds or aggressive pets. Pets that annoy other campers or are deemed a nuisance will be asked to leave the park. River Meadow Campground shall be held harmless and assume no liability, implied or otherwise, for animal bites or injury.

Improper Behavior – Public display of intoxication, underage drinking, disorderly conduct, and fighting or obscene language WILL result in immediate eviction.

Parental Responsibility – Please provide supervision for your children while in the park. All children must be under direct Adult supervision. Children under 14 years must have adult supervision while in pool area and dock area. Parents will be held responsible for the actions of minor children. Minors must be on their site and under direct adult supervision by 10:00PM.

Alcohol Policy – In keeping with the family environment, excessive use of alcoholic beverages is not tolerated. Violators will be requested to leave the park. Possession or use of illicit drugs is prohibited and will lead eviction and arrest.

Clotheslines – For the safety of all campers, a temporary clothesline will be allowed between 7:00AM and 5:00PM to dry swimwear / towels only. Serious injuries can result from clotheslines left up after dark. DO NOT tie ropes to trees.

Trash – Garbage is not picked up at individual sites. Please dispose of all trash in the dumpster provided at the front area of the park. Do not dispose of hazardous materials in trash containers. Do not bring trash from home or burn trash at your campsite. Trash cans at the Bathhouses and Laundry are for loose trash only, not bagged.

Swimming Pool & Dock – Please abide by the following rules when using the Pool and Dock:
• No lifeguards on duty at the swimming Pool or Dock area; swim at your own risk at pool
• An adult must accompany all children under the age of 16 while at the pool or Dock area.
• No swimming at the Dock at all.
• No Diving in the Pool.
• Observe all posted signs.
• No swimming is allowed after 8:00PM weekdays and 10:00PM weekends.
• 8:00AM – 9:00AM is Adult swim only
• No alcohol or glass containers permitted in the enclosed swim area.

Boating/Docks – Life vests are required at all times while on the Docks or Boats owned by Meadow River Campground. Waivers must be signed before the use of the Dock or Boats. River Meadow Campground shall be held harmless and assume no liability, implied or otherwise, for use of Dock or Boats.

Misc. Items – This is a Family Park, minors under age of 21 will not be allowed to camp without direct adult supervision.

Bicycles – Riding bicycles after dark is prohibited. All bicyclists must wear a helmet when riding. This is for safety reasons for everyone. We will give your child a verbal warning, then, if it becomes a repeated problem, we will ask you parents to leave their bicycles at home.

ATV's – We do allow them. However, you are not allowed to ride them around the campground (site to store, etc...). You may ride them around the campground to get to the recreational trail and back only. If you abuse this you will be asked not to bring them at all. Speed limit is 10mph quietly, so long as not disturbing anyone else.

Canopies – Free standing canopies are allowed but tarps strung between trees are not permitted.

Do not drive nails into or peel the bark off any tree living or dead and please do not disturb the wildlife in any way.

Lost and Found – Please bring all lost or found items to the office.

Facilities – There is no smoking in any Public buildings or Cabins.

Restrooms – Please keep clean. Children under 6 years old will be accompanied by an adult in the restrooms and showers. Dishes and clothes should not be washed in showers or bathroom sinks.

Laundry Room – Located behind Office Bldg/restrooms. Coin operated, change and soap available in the store. Hours same as store.
