From River Meadow Campground you can travel the calm, clean water that is perfect for paddlers. From this point, the Connecticut is big, but not too big. Wildlife is plentiful, especially birds. You can expect to see plenty of kingbirds, kingfishers, spotted sandpipers and cedar waxwings to name a few. If you are especially lucky you may spy great egrets - big, snow-white birds. Around every bend the river graces you with new sights such as stands of bright-orange daylilies overhanging the river. Bring a cooler and picnic lunch along, then stop and enjoy the scenery on your trip … or stop for a swim on hot days. Enjoy safe and exciting family fun at River Meadow Campground!

Canoes & Kayaks Options
Canoe prices are for 2 people. Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) are included in the pricing.
Times are approximate and vary with water flow and paddling experience.
No reservations required!
Must be 18 years old, child must be accompanied by an adult.

Depart in one of our canoes (holds 2 people), single kayaks, angler kayaks or our tandem kayak (only one available) and enjoy a gentle, calm water float trip! We provide pick up and drop off. Check at our office for location details.
